We feel all of your prayers and continue to sense an overwhelming peace from our Heavenly Father! This morning, Kacee and I discussed the "supernatural" peace we have experienced over the last couple days. It has truly been amazing!!
Kacee is asleep right now. It has been a long day. But before I get into all the details, you all need to know something....
My wife is AMAZING! Through the years, I have been around many wonderful people, and have witnessed incredible things. But I've never seen someone so clearly demonstrate his/her faith the way Kacee has these last few days. She is STRONG! She is FAITHFUL! And her Godly spirit has been a light to everyone. It has been an honor to stand next to her through all of this. She has faced some of the most difficult conversations of her life; the most difficult decisions of her life. It has been quite a rollercoaster ride.
But Kacee's demonstrations of faith and courage are derived from the grace of our Almighty God. He is the master and Creator of ALL things. He is SOVEREIGN! We are reminded of His promises. And it brings us peace and joy to submit to Him and surrender our own will to His.
Update:
General:
-We have been moved from Labor & Delivery to the "Antepartum" Unit.
-We are still being closely monitored.
-We will be here at least a couple more days. No end in sight. Just one day at a time.
Specific:
-Kacee slept well last night and felt much more rested this morning.
-The amount of amniotic fluid in her belly has become an issue. The on-call specialist and on-call OB came in to evaluate and quickly decided that she needed to have an "Amnio Reduction" to withdraw fluid, thus relieving the pressure on her cervix (which could cause pre-term labor). It was the first time I let FEAR creep in. We were both very nervous and once again, felt like one minute we were doing fine, and the next we had to decide to put our baby at risk.
-Kacee and I had some alone time to talk it over and PRAY. Ultimately, we felt like this was our chance to trust the doctors whom we had been praying for for months. We prayed that we could completely surrender our thoughts and concerns. It was perhaps my most memorable moment of submitting to GOD.
-Kacee was wheeled down the hall, where our earthly on-call specialist withdrew 2.7L of fluid (over 6 lbs!!!).
-Since the procedure, she has been having contractions every few minutes. It is getting better, but we have a ways to go. We are hoping and praying for them go away completely!
-Kacee is not in pain, but has mild discomfort.
-One day at a time.
We are humbled by your love! We hope to soon give each of you a big hug around the neck. We love you!

For His Glory,
Kyle
